WHO I AM

FROM WEARER TO FASHION DESIGNER

To show that dreams have no borders.

Welcome! I'm Marita Balàzs, Italian-Hungarian stylist and model maker,  and it is precisely on the catwalk that I understood the importance of telling myself through clothes, in the incessant need to express one's sense of freedom; in the wake of the most vivid creativity that does not remain entangled even during the 2020 lockdown, when my first "Hippie Jeans" recycling collection is born. Inspired by a way of being more than a trend.

My story

BIOGRAPHY

From an early age, mia was passionate about "handmade". Growing up I discovered that I have a particular predisposition for art and forms of expression that arouse feelings capable of lasting over time. In middle school I attended the faculty of art and drawing and painting, and after school as time passed I designed and made dresses for my dolls.

During my high school years, thanks to a casting, I started working in the fashion field as a model and model, and after high school I moved to Rome. During my career as a model I had the opportunity to learn a little everything about this wonderful field. After almost 20 years of experience and the management of a fashion and modeling agency in Hungary, he felt the need to continue the artistic path that I had started years earlier.

Return

BACK TO ITALY

I could only return to Italy, to the land of wonders, art and fashion and a lot of history, to create something so important and valuable: a choice made for opportunity, to be precise this time in the splendid Sardinia, which has now become my adopted land .  I started designing and creating my clothes totally self-taught. My creations were discovered by the well-known fashion agency - Capoterra 2000 Academy , and thanks to them I finally had the opportunity to present my very first  "Street College" collection at the Cagliari Fashion Week in 2019.

Style

INSPIRATIONS

I landed at the tailor's shop where I discovered I could combine my drawing and design skills with my passion for fashion and modeling, with my love for manual skills. I love to create complete total look outfits, find particular fabrics, remnants, combine different patterns, recycle quality fabrics destined for disposal, thus giving them a second life, studying glamorous clothes a little transgressive with extravagant shapes, traveling back in time, epochs that have marked a lot in the history of costume, creating and bequeathing their style that is still more relevant today than ever.
I love to create vintage creations that sing out of the crowd, that can express a style, a character that emerges from habits.
